Apologies for the long overdue update. It’s been a year of changes and transition, but good things are percolating in the ether. Now that the school term has ended, I’m off to the Island Institute in Sitka, Alaska to be their (song)writer in residence for the month of May. I’ll be working on my thesis album project starring the Northern Resident orcas, as well as giving some workshops and learning to use my new sampler/drum machine. I am beyond excited!

There will be a few concerts coming up in the Vancouver area, primarily a solo house concert in the works for late June and a band reunion in July as part of the great street party that is the Khatsalano Festival.

Then I’ll head to The Sointula Art Shed again for a short residency and show with collaborator Lucien Durey.

I hope to see you somewhere down the road.

All good things,
Leah
